Dr. Micaela Das Gupta

I am originally from Halifax and wanted to be a vet while growing up. I became interested in other topics and studied Neuroscience at both Dalhousie and then McGill Universities before coming full circle and deciding that I wanted to be a Veterinarian. I graduated with my vet degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2018. I joined the Fairview Animal Hospital in May 2019. I am very interested in internal medicine, preventive health, and surgery. I love working on cases to bring about a better quality of life for both pets and owners.

I am currently lucky to be owned by Gramps, my little black cat I brought back with me from Scotland. A fun fact about me? I spent a year travelling around the world after my undergraduate degree and spent some time volunteering on farms in New Zealand which helped me decide that I wanted to become a vet.
