I am originally from Toronto and moved here to Halifax about 4 years ago. Ever since living here, I have loved the environment and all of the beautiful places and things to see in the province! To have ended up working in the veterinary field came as a sort of serendipity. Growing up I always had a deep connection with animals, and my first dream job was to be a vet! At some point, I decided to leave that behind and work on my other passion in life, English at SMU, where I am currently attending. But, when I saw a job posting for an animal hospital, I knew it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Now that I am here, and I get to see all of the amazing and beautiful pets and meet so many great owners, I know there is no looking back. Once I am done with my English degree, I plan on taking a Veterinary Assistant course to further my progress and knowledge in the workplace, and I can’t wait! The area of veterinary medicine that interests me most is canine behaviours. What I love most about my job is the amazing, hard-working co-workers I get to work alongside every day at FAH, they are an incredible group of people and each one of them cares for the animals that enter our doors as if they were their own. Seeing people truly doing what they love for those who cannot speak for themselves, and getting to be a part of that, is what truly makes me happy to come to work every day. A fun fact about me is that I absolutely love bulldogs!
