Dr. Suzette Dibblee, a native of Halifax, received her BSc at Dalhousie University. She then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI and graduated in 1998 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Dibblee emjoys all aspects of Veterinary medicine! She loves working with companion animals and has recently expanded her Veterinary services to include treatment of avian & exotic pets.
Dr. Adrienne Harris-Dain grew up in Sussex NB, attended the University of New Brunswick for her BSc., and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Atlantic College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Her special interests include senior pets, general wellness, preventative medicine and surgery.
Dr. Harris-Dain enjoys extracurricular activities with her husband Jason, and two children Emma and Seth. She also has 6 four-legged furry kids; 1 dog and 4 cats.
Dr. Mike West obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1994. After graduation, Dr. West practiced medicine in the United Kingdom for 8 years. In the UK he developed a special interest in dermatology and received the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology.
Dr. West returned to Halifax in 2003 with his wife Jennifer and 2 children; Madeleine & Evan. Dr. West enjoys surfing, travelling and going to concerts with his family.

Dr. Eamon Draper graduated from the University of Liverpool, England in 1992 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree. In 2001, Dr. Draper received the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London. His work consists almost totally of surgery, the majority being orthopedics with a large amount of soft tissue surgery. Dr. Draper also has an interest in radiography and diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Draper moved to Halifax in 2005 with his wife Hannah and their son Joseph. Since living in Halifax they now have a daughter Niamh.

Melissa completed the Veterinary Assistant program at the Compu College in 2005, and began her career with the Fairview Animal Hospital in the fall of that year.
Melissa enjoys watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and especially cuddle time with her handsome little boy, Kodah her cat (born in 2005).
Tara graduated from the Maritime Business College in 2003 with a Veterinary Assistant diploma, during which she volunteered and was hired on at the Fairview Animal Hospital. She acquired her science degree after a two year course at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, then went on to be accepted at NSAC for the Veterinary Technician Program, in which she graduated with honors in 2008. Her special interests in animal health are behavior and diagnostics.
Tara resides in Truro with her family and Tye, her Boxer. In her spare time, Tara enjoys hiking, spending time with her family and is on the board for the Eastern Veterinary Technician Association.

Jamie began his career in Veterinary medicine at Parrots to Ferrets Veterinary Hospital in 2004, after attending Mount Saint Vincent University. When Parrots to Ferrets merged with the Fairview Animal Hospital in 2007, Jamie continued his fulfilling and invaluable role in Avian & Exotic Medicine. He is currently pursuing his Veterinary Technology Diploma with plans on receiving a specialized certification in Avian & Exotic Veterinary Care.
Jamie’s home is often referred to as an exotic jungle, from his Senegal Parrot to his Ibizan Hound & Bernese Mountain Dog to his Munchkin & Extreme Siamese cats, the sounds of the jungle are non-stop!
Jamie’s flamboyant personality enables him to be one of the girls in a female dominated profession of veterinary nursing. Fairview Animal Hospital would definitely not be as colourful without him!!

Charlene graduated from the Animal Health Technician Program in 1997 (Alberta). She has worked in general and specialty medicine hospitals in Toronto, Calgary and San Diego.
Charlene enjoys travelling and has lived in a few different countries. Charlene loves running, hiking and spending time with her three favorite guys; Devin, Kaelen & Luigi.
Amy, otherwise referred to as “Princess”, was born at the Fairview Animal Hospital on September 9th, 2001. After having been unsuccessfully adopted out on several occasions, the Fairview Animal Hospital became her forever home.
Amy loves spending her time basking in the morning sun at the front door, sitting on the front desk observing her domain and greeting clients and their fur-kids. When Amy is not around, she can be found getting her beauty sleep in a comfy corner ‘somewhere’.
Courtney is one of our newest members to the Fairview Animal Hospital team, although she is not new to the animal world. Courtney graduated from a Veterinary Administrative/Assistant Course at the Compu College in 2004, and has been working in the Veterinary Medicine industry ever since.
When Courtney is not at work, she spends all her time with her “fur babies” Char-lee, Josey, Tootz and Bella.
Ellen started her career in Veterinary Medicine as a co-op student in Ontario, she was hired on at the end of her co-op term and worked there for 3 years before moving to Nova Scotia in 2003. She attended Dalhousie University and then began working for the Fairview Animal Hospital in 2006.
Outside of work, Ellen enjoys reading, long drives and spending time with her recently rescued kitten, Kricket, and her 2 Leopard Gecko's Betty and Lilly.
Caroline is a Compu College graduate from the Veterinary Administrative/Assistant Program (September 2006). She currently resides in Halifax with her soon-to-be husband, Aran, and her rescue dogs Timmy Tucker & Gloria. Caroline is enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine and hopes to become a Veterinary Technician in the coming years with an emphasis on behavior & training. She also plans on upsizing her furkid family to include more rescue dogs.
Stephanie has always known since she was a child that she wanted to work in the animal care field. So in 2004 she graduated in the Veterinary Assistant program from the Maritime Business College and has since worked as a technician between the Halifax Veterinary Hospital and the Fairview Animal Hospital.
Stephanie enjoys playing the guitar and singing along with her Husband, drawing and painting. Along with her husband, her home family includes 2 cats, 2 bunnies and 2 dogs; Chloe the Bulldog & Brindi the Beagle.

Amanda started her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Fairview Animal Hospital in the summer of 2010. She graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 2009, majoring in Animal Sciences. She then went on to Oulton College and graduated in 2010 with a Veterinary Technician Diploma. Amanda also received her certification to practice equine massage therapy in 2007 through the Equine Rehabilitation Centre. Amanda has a large interest in small mammal exotic species with a special love for rats. She has currently teamed up with Jamie and Dr. Dibblee to treat small mammal exotics, avian and reptile species.
Amanda currently resides in Halifax with her three cats (Elvis, Francine and Isaac), six rats (Perri Winkle, Dottie Leigh, Marlee, Lando, Shannon and Gabrielle) and her newest addition; a Doberman Pinscher named Henry."
Erin graduated from the Veterinary Administrative Assistant course in Oct. 2010 and started her career with Fairview Animal Hospital. She has always had an interest in Veterinary medicine with her primary interest being client education and awareness.
Erin also enjoys time at home, which she shares with her future husband Andrew and their fur kids Domino, Nala and Midnight


Julia (Jules) began her career in the veterinary field in 1998. After a year she decided to make a career out of what she loved best – educating people with pets! Julia graduated from Maritime Business College in 2000 with a Veterinary Assistant Diploma. Julia joined the Client Relations Team at the Fairview Animal Hospital in August of 2010.
In her spare time Julia enjoys spending time with her family and friends in the great outdoors. She also loves being greeted by her four-legged fur-babies, four cats named; Riley-Bear, Bailey, Big Boy and Tucker.
Julia is excited to be working in such a team-based environment and looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

Courtney has always dreamed of working with animals, and began her career in the animal health care field in 2008. In January 2009, she began a Veterinary Technician Course through Thompson Rivers University and will complete her diploma in 2012.
Courtney has 3 furry children (cats) at home, Oscar, Lyle and Juliette. Even though she is originally from Ontario, over the last 3 years she has fallen in love with Nova Scotia and is looking very forward to a long successful career with the Fairview Animal Hospital.
